Chakra Healing to heal your tinnitus

I have heared about Chakras.

But I never knew anything specific about it. Throught the yoga therpy course I took that changed.

Since my tinnitus I have become more and more interessted in natural healing and in giving my body the chance to heal itself.

The course was really interessting and I learned a lot of things I have been craving to hear more about.

We learned what the 7 different Chakras stand for and if they are imbalance how to heal them.

I saw a lot of people talking about Chakras and I knew a little tiny bit about it but I was very curious!

 

Chakra 1 – the Root Chakra – Muladhara

This chakra is for instinct, survival and a sense of security. It is our grounding center.

It represents the physical identity, the ability to identify our body and its needs. It is also about self preservation, maintaining your body, treating the physical world as sacred, honoring our body and the environment.

It is our connection with the physical body und ability to be in the present moment. It also reflects our connection with our mother as well as feeling about being on earth. This chakra also stands for trust, society, money, home and work.

How to know if your chakra isn´t balanced?

If you have excessive characteristics, then you might feel heaviness, calm and move slowly. You might not like change, overeat reagularily or be obese. You might tend to hoard, be a little greedy and be focused on material. You might be a workaholic and send excessivly. You might have a fear of change or have an addiction to security. You also might  put up excessive boundaries and be overprotective of your loved ones.

If you have deficient characteristics you might have a lot of fears, karma anxiety, be anorexic or underweight and space out easily. You also might feel disconected from your body and your roots. Is is very likely that you feel resstless and have difficulty manifesting and financial difficulty. It might also be that you have poor boundaries and a fear of success or responsability.

If this chakra is balanced you are good health and vital. You feel comfortable in your body and have a right livelihood and have the ability to relax and be still. You also have a feeling of safety and security and a good common sense.

 

What lead to a imbalance in the root chakra?

Possible causes are:

  • Birth trauma
  • Abandoment
  • Poor physical bondig with mother
  • Malnutrition
  • Survival threats, illness, surgery
  • Physical abuse, violent environment
  • Inheritet trauma from parent
If this chakra is not balanced you might have one or more of the following symptoms:

You might suffer fro a disorder of the bowls, anus or large intestines or you might have a disorder of the solid parts of the body, the bones or teeth. You also might have issues with the legs, feet, knees, the base of the spine or your buttocks.

 

If you feel like this chakra is not balanced then ask youself these questions:
  • Do you like your body?

  • Do you care for your body?

  • Is your home a nourishing place?

  • Is there something you can do to improve your space?

  • How do you feel about work?

  • What does your ideal work look like and feel like? Are you satisfied?

  • How are you accounting your financial situation?

  • Do you have dept?

  • What do you do with money when it comes in?

  • What is your relatioship to nature?

As yourself these questions and see what you think and if that is what you want it to be? Should you change something about those situations?

 

If you feel like you need to balance it out, these affirmations might work for you:
  • I love my body
  • I am full of energy
  • I am confident
  • I am prosperious

Another way to balance this chakra is with grounding yoga poses like the tree pose or the chair pose.

Managing your money, spending time in nature, walking bare foot, connecting with your body and analyzing your relationship with your mother might help to balance this chakra.

 

The second chakra is is the Sacral Chakra – Svadhisthana

This Chakra is also known as the „Sensation Center“ or the „Honor Another“.

It is associatecd with our conciousness of personal relationships, creativity and control. A person´s ability to have children is also associated with this chakra. It has to do with our willingness to feel our emotions. It is important that we stand in our own place and define our sexual as well as emotional issues in a harmonious way.

How to know if your chakra isn´t balanced?

Excessive characteristics include emotional dependency, seductive manipulation, poor boundaries (invation of others) and sexually acting out. You might also be excessively sensitive emotinally as well as excessively strong emotions or you are ruled by your emotions, for example hysteria, bi-polar, mood swings, crisis junkie. It could also be that you are obsessivly attached to people or things.

If you have deficient characteristics in this chakra, you might have fear of change, poor social skills, emotional numbness and excessive boundaries. It could also be that you have a lack of desire, passsion and excitement and that you have rigidity in your body.

If this chakra is balanced you are cabable of feeling and enjoying the right amount of pleasure, are comfortable with intimacy and are capable of sexual satisfaction. Your emotions are balanced and you can establish healthy boundaries. A balance also leads to being able to accept change and to feel deeply.

 

What lead to a imbalance in the sacral chakra?

Possible causes are:

  • Sexual abuse
  • Emotional abuse
  • Physical abuse
  • Inherited issues from parents
  • Moral severity
  • Overuse or restricting normal movement development

 

If this chakra is not balanced you might have one or more of the following symptoms:

You might experience constant lower back pain, a disorder in the reproductive system, menstrual difficulties or sexyal dysfunctions. It could also be that you have problems with your knees, have a lack of flexibility or that your senses are deadened. Problems with the sciatica are also commen with this chakra.

 

If you feel like this chakra is not balanced then ask youself these questions:
  • Can I feel deeply without drownig others?

  • Can I express my emotions clearly and at appropiate times?

  • Can I understand my power and responsability behind my sexual energy?

  • Do I experience my sexuality as sacred?

  • What are some none sexual ways I can experience pleasure?

Ask yourself these questions and see what you think and if that is what you want it to be? Should you change something about those situations?

 

If you feel like you need to balance it out, these affirmations might work for you:
  • I am in touch with my feelings.
  • I deserve healthy pleasures in my life.
  • I move and change easily and effortlessly.

Other ways to balance the Svadhisthana are to practice hip openers, going to womb healing ceremonies or to sweat lodges. Also boundary work might be an important topic here. Swimming is helpful and as well as practicing some pranayamas like deep stomach breathing or asvini mudra.

 

The third chakra is the Solar Plexus Chakra or Manipura in Sanskrit.

This chakra is the power center.

It is about building strength and develop our will. The third chakra is related to self-esteem, self-respect and how we digest not only food but all experiences throughout our lives. It is also about the perception of power, control, freedom and the ease with which we are able to be ourselves. The Manipura is also associated with our personality, our ego.

How to know if your chakra isn´t balanced?

Excessive characteristics usually include dominate, agressive and contralling behavior. The need to be right also falls into this category. People with excessive characeristics are often power hungry, deceitful and manipulative. Tamper tanrums or violent outbursts are very common too. If you have excessive characeristics, you might also be very competitive, judgmental, stubborn and have a very driving ambitious. Also the frustation is out of control.

If you have deficient characteristics in this chakra, you may be unreliable, have a low energy level, a low self-esteem and poor self-discipline. It might also happen that you feel like that everybody is against you, you have chronic fatigue and that you will is weak. People with deficent characteristics usually have a poor digestión and are cold emotionally or / and physically. Their relationship with their father is usually weak.

If this chakra is balanced you are proactive, have a good self esteem and a warm personality. You also have a healthy confidence in yourself and in life. You are spontanious, playful and have a sense of humor. Appropriate self-discipline is also one of its components as well as having a sense of your own power. People with a balanced third chakra are able to meet challenges and are responsable as well as reliable.

What lead to a imbalance in the sacral chakra?

Possible causes are:

  • Shaming
  • Authoritiarian or overly lenient parents
  • Overpowering
  • Overstimulation
  • Physical abuse, dangerous environment, fear of punishment
  • Age inappropriate responsabilities
  • Inherited shame not worked through by parents
If this chakra is not balanced you might have one or more of the following symptoms:

You might have an eating oder digestive disorder, you might suffer from chronic fatigue or hyper tension. Also disorder of the stomach, pancreas, gall bladder or liver are common. It could also be that you are not albe to enjoy live anmore. Diabetes also falls into the physical mafuctions of this chakra.

 

If you feel like this chakra is not balanced then ask youself these questions:
  • Ask yourself: How can I serve you today?

  • How would I describe my digestión?

  • What situation depletes my energy and what gives me energy?

  • Is my sense of self consistant and strong?

  • Do I consantly seek aproval or attention from others? If so, what is it what I am really seeking and how can I find it in myself?

  • Can I assert myself effectively without dominating others? (delegate, empowering others)

Ask yourself these questions and see what you think and if that is what you want it to be? Should you change something about those situations?

 

If you feel like you need to balance it out, these affirmations might work for you:
  • I Act with Courage and Confidence
  • I Will Achieve My Goals Successfully
  • I Am In Control of My Life
  • I accomplish tasks effortlessly
  • I trust the guidance I get from my higher self
  • I am releasing the trauma within my solar plexus chakra and I am allowing it to heal

Other ways to heal this chakra are doing sun salutations, abdominal exercises, yin and restorative yoga or different pranayamas like the firebreath and diafragmic exercises. It could also be practicing martial arts, taking more risks or deep relaxation.

If you want to increase the energy in this chakra eat more spicy foods and if you want to decrease the energy then you shouldn´t eat spicy foods.

 

The forth chakra is the Heart Chakra or Anahata.

It is also known as the Living Love Center, it is about not being stuck and seeing love as a divine power.

The heart chakra is like its name says about the perception of love and relationships with people that are close to your heart. It is associated with the heart and the blood circulatory system as well as with the cardic plexus, the lung and the entire chest area.

How to know if your chakra isn´t balanced?

If you have excessive characteristics in the heart chakra you are co-dependent of others, have poor boundaries and poor discrimination. People with a low energy in this chakra usually tend to be very demanding, critical and possessive. Being clingy and living through others are also some characteristics.

If you have deficient characteristics in the Anahata you are likely to be anti-social, have a por self-esteem, self-love and feel unworthy. People with a low energy are manipulated easily, critical and judgement. The higher chakras are not activated, which leads to depression and feeling lonely. Lack of empathy and fear of intimacy are further characteristics.

If this chakra is balanced you are compassionate, loving, empathetic, self-loving and have a good immune system. Being peaceful, alturistic and having a good discrimination are further characteristics.

What lead to a imbalance in the sacral chakra?

Possible causes are:

  • Rejection
  • Abandoment
  • Shaming
  • Harsh and constant criticism
  • Abuses of any other chakra
  • Unacknowledged grief
  • Divorce
  • Death of a loved one
  • Lovelessness
  • Love for munipulation
  • Secual and physical abuse
  • Betrayal
If this chakra is not balanced you might have one or more of the following symptoms:

You might experience circulation problems, tension between the shoulders or chestpain. You could also suffer from burn-out, shortness of breath, a disorder of the heart, lungs, thymus, breast or arms. Asthma is also a mulfunction of the heart chakra.

If you feel like this chakra is not balanced then ask youself these questions:
  • How can I accept my body no matter what shape it has?

  • What can I do to accept my appreciation?

  • What condition do I require from others before I am willing to share my love?

Ask yourself these questions and see what you think and if that is what you want it to be? Should you change something about those situations?

 

If you feel like you need to balance it out, these affirmations might work for you:
  • I am worthy of love
  • I am loving myself and others
  • There is an infinite supply of love

Other methods of balancing the heart chakra are journaling, forgivness work, exercising arms and pracicing mantra meditation. Bhaaki yoga or back bending positions as well as grounding in the arms might help you. Also the four purifications and breathing in into the heart are helpful to heal this chakra.

 

The fifth chakra is the Throat Chakra – Vissuda

It is the chakra of personal choices or of the purification.

Communication is a big part of this chakra, expressing what you feel and what you want. It can be any form of expression, but also receiving is part of this chakra. It is also associated fullfilling our goals. This is the first level of consciousness in which one perceives directly another level of intelligence and experienceses – the interaction with the other intelligence. This chakra controls like its name says the throat, but also neck, the arms and the heands. It is also connected with the broncial or cervial plexus.

How to know if your chakra isn´t balanced?

If your energy in this chakra is excessive you might be known for taking to much or talk as a defense. People als might tell you that you never listen, but you also might have poor auditory comprehension. Having a dominating voice and interupting others also falls into this excessive characteristics of this chakra. If you enjoy gossiping then your energy leve is also too high.

If your energy leven is too low in this chakra, your voice might be small and weak. You also might fear speaking. Putting feelings into words and being an introvert person or being shy are also deficient characteristics. Having a poor sense of rhythm also means you have deficient energy in this chakra.

If the throat chakra is balanced you have a resonant voice, are a good listener and a good sense of timing and rhythm. Also living creatively and having a clear communication means that your energy level is balanced in this chakra.

What leads to a imbalance in the throat chakra?

Possible causes are:

  • Lies and receiving mixed messages
  • Verbal abuse and constant yelling
  • Excessive criticism
  • Authoritarian parents
  • Ignorance and shaming
  • Alcoholic / chemical dependent family
  • Having to keep secrets and threats if they fall

If this chakra is not balanced you might have one or more of the following symptoms:

You might experience disorder of the throat, ears, voice, neck, mouth, throid, parathroid or shoulders. So TINNITUS is a physical malfuncion of this chakra. TMJ and Toxicity are typical mulfunctions as well as scoliosis, swollen glands, thyroid problems and gum difficulties.

 

If you feel like this chakra is not balanced then ask youself these questions:
  • What holds me back from a truthful communication?

  • When I was a child, was I listened to when I had something important to say?

  • Did I feel understood or humiliated?

  • Were there lies I had to hold up?

Ask yourself these questions and see what you think and if that is what you want it to be? Should you change something about those situations?

If you feel like you need to balance it out, these affirmations might work for you:
  • ­I hear and speak the truth
  • I live an authentic life. I have integrity.
  • I am at peace.
  • I listen to my body and my feelings to know what my truth is.
  • Creativity flows in ad through me.

Other ways to heal this chakra are practicing the shoulder stand and fish pose as well as the ujjayi breath. Writing letters, chanting, using mantras or meditate in silence are also helpful to balance this chakra. Being spontaneously creative might also help.

 

The sixth chakra is the Third Eye Chakra – Anja

The third eye chakra is about conscious awareness and the inner sound, the sound one hears inside that does not depend on outside events. It is connected with our inner spirit, the point of view from that deeper part of our being that is usually considered subonscious or unsconscious. Our true motivations has its source there. The forehead, temples and teh cartid plexus are associated with the Anja.

How to know if your chakra isn´t balanced?

Excessive characteristics are hallucinations, delusions and obsessions. A too high energy level leads to headaches, difficulty in concentrating and to nightmares.

A too low energy level in this chakra leads to insensitivity, poor visión, poor memory and denial. Difficulty seeing the future or alternatives, and visualizing are also deficient characteristics. If your energe is deficient in this chakra you als might not remember your dreams and not be able to see diversity.

If this chakra is balanced you are intuitive, imaginative and perceptive. You also have a good memory and are able to visualise and think symbolically. Having Access and to your dreams is also a characteristic of a balanced third eye chakra.

What lead to a imbalance in the sacral chakra?

Possible causes are:

  • What you see isincongurent to what you are told
  • Invalidation of intuition
  • Being in an unsafe or frightening environment
If this chakra is not balanced you might have one or more of the following symptoms:

You might experience insomnia or have mental issues. Headaches and vision problems are also characteristics of malfunctions of this chakra. Learning disabilities, seizures, full spinal difficulties and brain tumors or strokes are also due to an imbalnce in of the third eye chakra.

If you feel like this chakra is not balanced then ask youself these questions:
  • Is there something I dont´want to see in my life?

  • Do I tent to overwork and do everything at once? And wind up feeling confused and overwhelmed?

  • When you have headaches – is there a pattern?

  • How can I bring more beauty into my life?

Ask yourself these questions and see what you think and if that is what you want it to be? Should you change something about those situations?

If you feel like you need to balance it out, these affirmations might work for you:
  • I see all things in clarity
  • I open myself to know my inner guidance and deepest wisdom.
  • I follow the lead of my inner teacher
  • I know how to make the right desision and I do with ease.
  • I manifest my own vision

Other ways to balance this chakra are practicing child´s pose, rabbit pose and head stand on a regular basis as well as alternate nastral breathing. Other activites that might help are pas life regressions, dream work, hypnosis and vision board work.

 

The seventh chakra is the Crown Chakra – Sahasara

The crown chakra i s our universal consciousness center and is about being present.

This chakra represents our perception of unity or seperation. Just as the root chakra is associated with our connection with Mother Earth, this chakra i sour relationship with our father in heaven. It is our inner light, the deepest part of our beeing – a point of consciousness glowing with intelligence.

Excessive energy in this chakras might evoke frustration, dissociation, confusion or spiritual addiction. It also might include being overly intellectual, being out of touch with the human body and a poor manifestation.

Deficient characteristics are spiritual skepticism, having a regid belief system, depression or having learning difficulties. They also include the inability to retain information, fixation on only one idea as well as boredom, alienation or apathy.

If the crown chakra is balanced you have the ability to questions events, a strong spiritual connection and are intelligent, thoughtful, curious as well as open-minded. Being able to perceive, analyze and assimilate information are also characteristics of a balanced seventh chakra.

What lead to a imbalance in the sacral chakra?

Possible causes are:

  • Lies
  • Lack of stimulation
  • Spiritual abuse
  • Invalidation of onew own beliefs
  • Blind obedience and being discouraged of individual thoughts
  • Withheld information
If this chakra is not balanced you might have one or more of the following symptoms:

You might suffer from depression, migraines and amnesia. Having psychosis or brain tumors are also a physical mulfunction of this chakra. Energetic disorders or chronic exhaustion (not liked to a physical disorder) are also a symptom of an imbalanced cown chakra.

If you feel like this chakra is not balanced then ask youself these questions:
  • Is this beliefs aligned with me right now?

  • Does this belief serve me or hinder me?

  • What might be a more productive belief?

  • Where are my attachments?

Ask yourself these questions and see what you think and if that is what you want it to be? Should you change something about those situations?

If you feel like you need to balance it out, these affirmations might work for you:
  • I am open to new ideas
  • I am guided by higher power
  • Divinity resides within me

Other ways to heal this chakra are physical activity, setting goals and acknowledging emotions. Meditating, practicing the four purifications and headstand might also help. Also examine your belief system and practice jnana yoga.

 

So now we know that tinnitus is also an imbalance of the 5th Chakra. Here you have the tools to find out which chakra is imbalanced and how to heal that.
