Why did I start this blog?

 

Well, I always tell myself that I will do this and that to make my live with a tinnitus easier, to be more active again, to go out more again…but then most of the time daily routines just take over and nothing happens. I don´t make it happen….So now with your support and with me knowing that I might be able to help others , I want to take a new approach.

I want to take daily actions to make live easier with tinnitus.

To not just hide at home in bed or giving up things that I like because the tinnitus controles how I live my life. I want to control my own life. I want to be the boss of my life again.

So let´s go and claim the control back!

Tinnitus has taken over my life a long time ago. Seven years I have been living with that annoying peeping in my ears. Right now I have stage 3 tinnitus and I have given up so many things…I mostly just go to work and come home and go to bed or watch a movie at a high volume to not hear the peeping.

I don´t read as much anymore.

I don´t go out as much anymore.

I can´t listen to certain songs or generes of music.

I avoid large groups of people.

.

.

The list goes on. But who is this TINNITUS that it just takes control of my life like that?!

Have you heard of the Tinnitus spiral? Yes, that is what I am in and there is no getting out of it.

STOP!

I want the control back and I want it now!

So, I want to do something daily to relieve the distress it causes and to be able to relax, and maybe but only maybe on the way it goes away or gets quieter. Here on this blog I want to tell you what I did and how it worked for me!

Going crazy because of my tinnitus.
My Blog

To my situation right now, I am 31 years old and teach German in Cusco, Peru. Cusco is at 3.330 above sea level, which already makes my tinnitus slightly more acceptable.

I want to share with you,

  • what I do daily in DAILY ACTIONS,
  • what motivates me in MOTIVATION,
  • what I read, or watch or listen to in order to feel better or to get more insite in MEDIA,
  • what extraordinary things I try to have a better quality of life in ACTIONS,
  • what generally helps or makes me feel better in FEEL GOOD
  • and of course as the say that many things can be influenced by your nutrition and with for a healthy living it is always important what you eat, so that I try to do in that department you find in SOUL FOOD.
